"Salesforce Hackaton 2013 - Healthcare.Love Wins 2nd Place"

When Salesforce.com announced they were hosting the Salesforce $1 Million Hackathon we were thrilled our employees wanted to participate. The challenge was simple: create the next killer mobile app on the Salesforce Platform for the chance to win $1 million.

As healthcare is top of mind for many Americans, the team wanted to build an iPad app that would allow families to pick a healthcare plan that's transparent and incredibly simple. Say hello to Healthcare.Love, a mobile app that simplifies and highlights the most important aspects of selecting a healthcare plan: how will my family be taken care of and how much is it going to cost.

Taptera talent Victor Oliveros and Ian Fisher together with designer Cat Perez built Healthcare.Love on the Salesforce1 Platform. In their words "The Salesforce CRM stores all of the healthcare plan and applicant information, giving healthcare providers the rich set of tools Salesforce.com provides. We created the app so users can browse through plans, including costs, and consult the community and experts with any questions they may have through Salesforce Chatter. This is all delivered through an iPad app."

We’re so proud of Victor, Ian, and Cat for bringing the Healthcare.Love vision to life! Now comes their toughest decision yet - deciding what to do with the $50,000 prize per team member!
